IATF 16949 certificate for aluminum components: Cheb qualifies as the 1st location of the apt Group
The automotive sector has been one of apt’s four core markets for many years. Here, we produce battery housings, guide rails, components for convertible roofs, and car accessories for well-known manufacturers. That is why Apt applied for IATF 16949 certification. Our site in Cheb (Czech Republic) was the first company in the Group that passed the process successfully in December 2023.
As one of the leading European aluminum processing groups, apt wants to become increasingly active as a direct-, system- and module supplier (Tier 1) for large automotive OEMs. The IATF 16949 certification represents a significant milestone for this goal.
IATF-16949 as a standard quality mark for the automotive industry
In the past, apt has collaborated as a Tier 2 supplier in the automotive industry’s value chain. Thanks to the certification, we can now continuously expand this business.
The IATF 16949 quality management standard proves that apt fully meets the high requirements of the automotive industry for aluminum components and can thus offer products and services that also meet the high demands of our customers. The certification increases our visibility as a Tier 1 automotive supplier in this demanding industry.
