Sustainable aluminum solutions along the value chain
The apt Group is one of the leading groups of companies in the European aluminum industry. We develop and manufacture technologically sophisticated aluminium extrusion profiles and mechanical processing of aluminium, which we supply to renowned customers in the construction, transport, automotive and industrial sectors. Our manufacturing processes cover the entire value chain – from the raw material to the end product. With in-house remelting capacities, six extrusion lines, a state-of-the-art further processing facility, two anodizing plants and a powder coating plant as well as passivation options, apt offers a broad range of expertise.

The in-house recycling of our process scrap in our own remelting plant rounds off the overall range of our value chain. In this way, we ensure the sustainable production of aluminum solutions for our customers.
apt produces series components as well as technically sophisticated individual pieces in a one-piece flow. With our four production plants in Europe, we offer a wide range of aluminum profiles and components as well as a product portfolio that extends to the fully assembled product and/or system.

Ao Bo serves as Vice Chairman of Inner Mongolia Mengtai Group Co. Ltd., a privately owned enterprise based in Ordos, Inner Mongolia (China). With over 7.500 employees, the Group generated approximately €5.8 billion in revenue last year.
Mengtai Group is a modern enterprise group with diversified, complementary, and circular operations, integrating research and development, production of new aluminium alloy materials, the development of wind and solar energy, and high-quality research and utilization of high-aluminium fly ash.
As a shareholder of the apt Group, Ao Bo has taken on the role of CEO and is committed to further strengthening the company’s position in the European aluminium market.
Oliver Reichel started his career in HR after completing his master’s degree in economics with a focus on HR management at the University of Frankfurt.
Since then, he has spent more than 20 years in human resources in various sectors of multinational companies and has held leadership positions in global teams in a rapidly changing environment.
Oliver Reichel has an extensive international background and is used to working in agile organizations. He has gained experience in the implementation of M&A and restructuring processes, with a strong focus on the digitalization of HR processes.
He lives with his family near Monheim.
As an experienced business IT specialist, Christian Hempell has been successfully contributing his expertise to the realignment of IT at international companies for over 25 years. He has gained in-depth experience in this area, particularly in industrial SMEs, including private equity.
Christian Hempell leads IT organizations towards business process optimization and digitalization. He has extensive ERP project and change management experience and lives service orientation according to ITIL – the best practice framework for effective IT service management.
Christian Hempell lives with his wife in the Rhine-Main area and has a grown-up son.
Manon Gahmann has been with the apt Group since 2016 and has been responsible for CSR and compliance since 2023.
Its task is to strategically align the organization with the constantly changing requirements in the area of CSR and compliance and to make it future-proof. At the same time, it drives a regular internal debate on relevant social issues.
Manon Gahmann is originally from the Netherlands and moved to Germany in 1998 after years in the USA and France. She is married and the mother of two children.
