What makes training at apt so special?
We are a leading European specialist in the development and production of aluminum profiles. Here, high-tech meets lightweight aluminum, international customers meet a family atmosphere.
Our company’s success is based above all on a highly motivated team. That’s why we train new apprentices in our three apprenticeships every year. Many of our former trainees are still working for us today and have taken on positions of responsibility.
We offer young, committed and eager learners prospects in an exciting professional environment. We invest a lot of time and passion in the high-quality training of our junior staff. In doing so, we think about a sustainable future together. In every department you work in during your apprenticeship, you will be assigned a mentor who will develop, challenge and encourage you, teach you what you need to know and be available to answer your questions at any time.
Our aim is to offer our trainees a long-term employment contract once they have successfully passed their final examination. We are also happy to support you with further training (e.g. postgraduate studies) after your apprenticeship.

Three great professions with a future
At the Monheim site, we train industrial clerks every year. We train tool mechanics and mechatronics technicians alternately every year. You can always find our current apprenticeships on our homepage or at Azubiyo and Ausbildung.de.
As an industrial clerk, you will manage all business processes in the company: from materials and product management to calculating price lists. Our trainees work in all departments during their training, so you can get an overall picture, understand the connections and synergies between the individual departments and, of course, get to know all your colleagues.
As a mechatronics technician you will be responsible for the professional maintenance of our production systems and thus ensure the functionality of the entire production process. During your training, you will acquire a broad basic knowledge that will open up a wide range of activities.
As a tool mechanic (field of application: correction technology), you will ensure that the extrusion dies are provided in a technically correct, timely and high-quality manner. You will mechanically process the tools to optimize tool life, quality and productivity. This also includes maintaining and repairing the tools.
