We are pleased to present the apt Group’s sustainability report for 2022. In this report, we transparently present our efforts and progress in the area of sustainability, and we are doing so voluntarily for the second time. Our publication takes place annually and focuses on relevant aspects in the areas of economy, ecology and social issues.
Our sustainability strategy is aligned with the goals of the United Nations 2030 Agenda, in particular the 17 Sustainable Development Goals.
The procurement of raw materials is of central importance to us, and we review our aluminum suppliers in accordance with the international OECD guidelines for the promotion of responsible supply chains. When procuring primary aluminum, we ensure that hydropower and geothermal energy are used in the manufacturing process. This enables us to significantly minimize CO₂ emissions. In addition, the apt Group recycles secondary aluminum into billets for further processing into new products. We have our own energy teams at our sites to identify potential energy savings. Recycling and the careful use of raw materials are an integral part of our corporate culture.
We hope that this report gives you an insight into our efforts and successes in the area of sustainability. We welcome your questions and inquiries at any time, as sustainability is a concern that affects us all.
