Published on: 30. June 2025

Powder coating is a surface finishing process in which electrically charged color pigments are applied to the surface of a workpiece that is also charged. The coated workpiece is then baked at a high temperature, creating a robust, smooth and durable surface.

Advantages

  • Very good corrosion resistance due to dense, closed surfaces.
  • High resistance to abrasion, scratches and weathering.
  • Wide range of color and texture options without the application of solvents.

Applications

  • Automotive industry: car bodies and wheel rims.
  • Building industry: Window frames and façade elements.
  • Household appliances and furniture.
