Aluminum extrusion

Published on: 30. June 2025

Aluminum extrusion (process) is a manufacturing process for the production of profiles with a constant cross-sectional shape in which aluminum or aluminum alloys are pressed through a die/tool.

Procedure

  • 1. the blank (aluminum block) is heated to a high temperature.
  • 2. the blank is pressed through the die under high pressure.
  • 3 The resulting profile is cooled and cut.

Advantages

  • Production of complex profile shapes possible.
  • Efficient use of materials.
  • Consistent quality along the entire profile.

Applications

  • Window and door frames.
  • Rails and cables.
  • Structural parts in aviation or vehicle construction.
